Known for its gracious service, the iconic Fifth Avenue hotel overlooking the emerald expanse of Central Park will re-open on June 1st following a meticulous 100 million renovation to create new guestroom and bath interiors. The Pierre is a testament to understated elegance. Guests are welcomed into a marble lobby with exquisitely arranged fresh flowers, graceful archways and museum-caliber artwork. White-gloved elevator attendants whisk guests to their rooms. Today, as in decades past, the hotel is renowned for its impeccable service. All guestrooms and suites have been transformed to feature a warm, inviting residential-style d?cor with a feeling of quiet luxury. High ceilings and abundant natural light evoke a gracious airy experience that enhances the newly renovated interiors. The 100 million renovation also included the reconfiguring of the first floor public areas to accommodate a new restaurant, Le Caprice, as well as 2 East, a new lobby lounge. Le Caprice will open in the Summer 2009, and will be modeled after its legendary counterpart in London. The eclectic menu will be based on Le Caprice in London, which includes European classics with some international influence. 2 East, located off the main lobby will feature light fare, afternoon tea and a striking copper bar. Guests experience the extraordinary expertise that is at their fingertips with the award winning Clefs d?Or Concierge Team. The seasoned team of professional concierges will handle spa treatments, restaurant reservations, limousines, personal shoppers, private tours and sightseeing adventures. * D1K - Superior Rooms located on lower floors, are welcoming and cozy measuring 280 sq. ft. (26sqm) and have a king bed or two twin beds, providing a quiet escape from the bustle of the city, they offer a sitting area with wingback chair & a writing desk * C1K - Deluxe Rooms are located throughout the mid-section of the hotel, on the 6th to 20th floor, measuring 300 sq. ft. (28sqm). Their exceptionally high ceilings accentuate the sense of space and grandeur. They have either a king bed or two twin beds and some overlook uptown Manhattan * B1K - Premier Rooms - A classic view of uptown Manhattan is to be had from many of the Premier Rooms on the 4th to 21st floors. Measuring 360 sq. ft. (33sqm) they are well suited to informal entertaining, with a sitting area that includes a loveseat, an armoire and a dining table for two. They have either a king or two twin beds. * A1K - Park view rooms from the 34th to 39th floors, offer the most preferred views of the city and the Central park. Measuring 320 sq. ft. (30sqm), they feature a king or two twin beds, and a sitting area furnished with an armchair, a wingback chair and an armoire * A1J - Boudoir room - Overlooking Central Park on the 12th to 39th floor, each Boudoir Room is uniquely designed and measure a generous 500 sq. ft. (46sqm). In addition to its magnificent view, the room features a king bed and a sitting area with a sofa and a writing desk. An adjacent dressing room is enhanced by spacious mirrored closets. A black and white bathroom includes a deep soaking tub with separate glass walled shower. * D1S - Executive 1 bedroom suite - Comfortable and roomy, the graciously residential Executive Suites, measures 700 sq. ft. (65sqm). The living room's furnishings include a writing desk a sofa, an armchair and a coffee table. The bedroom features a king bed and large walk-in closet. Some Executive Suites offer a pantry and a powder room. They may also be converted into a spacious two- bedrooms suite measuring 1,000 sq. ft. (93sqm), with a king bed in each room or two twin beds in one of the rooms. * C1S - Deluxe One Bedroom suites, with outstanding views of upper Manhattan, located on the 5th to 14th floors of The Pierre. Measuring a spacious 800 sq. ft. (74sqm), they may be converted into a two bedroom suite of 1,100 sq. ft. (102sqm). The elegant living room is furnished with a sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, and a writing desk. Some of the suites offer a pantry area to facilitate entertaining. The bedroom features a king bed, while the second bedroom may be featured with a king bed or two twin beds. Each bedroom has its own charming marble black and white bathroom. * B1S - Premier One Bedroom Suites, located on the 26th to 38th floors, the spacious suites offer 900 sq. ft. (84sqm) luxury and all-encompassing views facing over 61st Street. They may also be converted into an expansive two bedroom suite of 1,200 sq. ft. (111sqm). Ideal for business, entertaining, entertaining or a family each suite is unique. The comfortable living room includes a sofa, coffee and end tables, two armchairs and a writing desk. In the finely appointed bedroom is a king bed, desk, chair, armoire, and night tables. Each bedroom has its own charming bathroom. * A2S - Grand Two Bedroom Suites, located throughout the Hotel, the twelve Grand Suites are one-of-a-kind, apartment like quarters, reflecting the legacy of The Pierre's opulence and charm. Perfect for a variety of occasions, from business meetings to long term stays, special celebrations or family gatherings, they offer Central Park or Upper East Side. Available with one to three bedrooms, they range from 700 sq. ft. (65sqm) to 1500 sq. ft. (140sqm). Exquisitely decorated with original artwork and silk draperies, some have a full dining room, others a specious terrace. Each Grand Suite features an enormous living room and most include a private bar and pantry. One bedroom suites have a king bed, complete with a large dressing area and specious closets; the two and three bedroom suites may feature a king or two twin beds. * E1K - Moderate Rooms offer classic décor and comfort in a convenient fourth-floor location. Measuring 280 sq. ft. (26sqm), these rooms offer interior views. The sitting area is furnished with a wing-back chair, night tables, writing desk and armoire. Business Hours-- Offices are usually open weekdays from 9am to 5pm. Banks are open weekdays from 9am to 3pm or later and sometimes Saturday mornings. Stores typically open between 9 and 10am and close between 5 and 6pm from Monday through Saturday. Stores in shopping complexes or malls tend to stay open late- until about 9pm on weekdays and weekends and many malls and larger department stores are open on Sunday.
